Bath Spa University - Year 3 Brief:
A live brief set by Dyson.
This team project focused on raising awareness and promoting a new material called MarinaTex, a bio-plastic created using the fish waste stream which was designed by Lucy Hughes- winner of the James Dyson Award.
The posters aimed to be hard-hitting and to the point, and so the focus was a fact about plastic waste, accompanied by a simple illustration.    The colour palette was minimal and consistent with the brand identity to ensure a coherent design.

Typography was a key element in the design of these posters, a fact about the growing problem of plastic pollution was the main focus. The design process consisted of experimenting with the composition, balancing the placement of type and image. The illustrations were created using imagery provided by MarinaTex and shows the material's potential applications. The range of posters utilise a consistent colour palette and similar composition, creating a cohesive set.
